My Best Friend's Wedding.

Since ya'll are on facebook, I put most of the pics of Dani's wedding on there, so I thought I'd talk more about the cake on my blog. Here it is:

I saw this ribbon/broche thing originally on the show "Amazing Wedding Cakes" and I knew I had to do it. I love how it turned out and how the color scheme went together. The bottom layer is hard to see but it is supposed to reflect eyelet lace. It was SOOO much fun to make this cake, by far my favorite one in the end. I love the style and I could totally see Dani's personality in it.

She will probably never read this, but I have to say Dani is the best friend I have ever had. We have known each other since we were 9 years old, and have been best friends ever since. We used to play Titanic on the Hammock, Funny Froggies, Dunununa,  Funununa, and so many more stupid games that we consumed ourselves with.

One thing about Dani is she has always been consistently sweet. She has always been there for me with her great sense of humor and even better sense of style. I can't tell you how many times she has had a style "intervention" with me....and I needed it!

I Love you Dani, thanks for all the good times, and I can't wait for you guys to enjoy all the happiness that marriage contains. IT'S THE BEST.

Fool on the Hill.

I just have to vent about this:

Derek did laundry last weekend, and within a week we have gone through THIS many clothes, not to mention the load in the dryer. How can two people go through so many clothes. And more importantly, how did my mom do laundry for SEVEN kids? No wonder there was a constant pile to fold on the couch.

Question.

So, I clearly updated my blog layout. BUT last time I did this my sister said that it didn't show up right on most computer screens. It always looks fine on mine, but doesn't always show the entire page on everyone else's. To help me not lose sleep about this, will someone let me know that it's all fitting right on their screen?

Leaves.

It's definitely fall outside. I finally got myself to pull the weeds and dead plants outside of our house. I think our neighbors are giving us a silent applause.

Fall is both mine and Derek's favorite time of year. It's always seemed like a romantic time of year for me. I love the perfect weather, comforting food, and fact that everything outside seems to wear it's perfect colors for this short season.

Since my life has drifted into a bit of routine mode.... I thought I'd show some fun fall wedding cakes I've seen around. I love the different ideas people are coming up with.
